The flat gate valve is a sliding valve featuring a parallel gate, which can consist of either a single or double shutter plate with a deployment mechanism in between.
The push force of the gate against the valve seat is regulated by the pressure of the medium acting on the floating gate or valve seat. In the case of a dual shutter flat gate valve, the spreading mechanism between the two shutters compensates for this pressure.
1. The valve seat employs a floating structure with O-ring sealing and pre-tightening force, ensuring bi-directional sealing at the inlet and outlet. This design reduces the switching torque to half that of conventional valves, allowing for easy opening and closing.
2. When fully opened, the flat gate valve provides a smooth channel with an extremely low flow resistance coefficient, resulting in no pressure loss, and the pipeline can be cleaned with a hairball.
3. The valve features a filling material structure with self-sealing capability, minimizing the need for frequent adjustments. The switch is lightweight, and the sealing performance is highly reliable. An auxiliary sealing grease injection system enhances sealing reliability, achieving zero leakage and addressing the common issue of leakage in standard valve packing.
4. When closed, the flat gate valve can automatically relieve high pressure in the inner cavity, facilitating user convenience.
5. The fully enclosed structure offers excellent protection, making it suitable for all-weather conditions.
1. Class 150~900 / PN 1.0~16.0 MPa: Suitable for oil and natural gas transmission pipelines, with a working temperature range of -29 to 121°C. The flat gate valve with a pilot port also facilitates line cleaning.
2. Refined Oil Transportation: Ideal for lines and storage equipment related to refined oil.
3. Oil and Natural Gas Extraction: Used in wellhead devices for oil extraction machinery.
4. Medium with Suspended Particles: The flat gate valve is applicable for piping carrying mediums with suspended particles.
5. City Gas Pipelines: Designed for use in municipal gas distribution systems.
6. Water Works: Suitable for various applications within water supply systems.
The flat gate valve features minimal flow resistance, comparable to that of a short tube, allowing for efficient fluid passage. When equipped with a pilot hole, it can be easily cleaned using a vacuum cleaner.
Due to its design, the flat gate valve can handle mediums with suspended particles, as the movement of the gate allows for surface adjustments between the two valve seat surfaces. The sealing surface is automatically positioned, preventing damage from thermal deformation of the valve body.
Moreover, thermal elongation of the valve stem does not place additional stress on the sealing surfaces, even if the valve is closed while cold. Additionally, for flat gate valves without a pilot hole, high precision in the flapper's closing position is not required, allowing for control of the opening and closing position through the electric flat valve stroke.
1. For oil and natural gas transmission lines, opt for a flat gate valve with either a single gate or a double gate. If line cleaning is necessary, select a rising stem flat gate valve with single or dual gate pilot holes.
2. For product oil conveying lines and storage equipment, use a flat gate valve with a single gate or double gate that does not include a diversion hole.
3. In oil and natural gas extraction wellhead devices, choose single-gate or double-gate flat gate valves with guide holes on the hidden stem floating valve seat.
4. For pipelines carrying mediums with suspended particles, select a small flat gate valve.
5. In city gas transmission lines, utilize a single gate or double gate soft-sealed rising stem flat gate valve.
6. During the construction of urban tap water systems, choose a flat gate valve with either a single gate or a double-layer gate without a guide.
